Quality Audits
Quality audits are independent audits of a supplier's quality management system (QMS) and of finished goods (final inspection), against international quality standards, current industry practice and the customer's expectations.

Why commission a quality audit?
Consistent product and service quality is one of the foundations of customer satisfaction. OBCO Audit provides comprehensive quality audits in line with international quality standards and current industry practice.
We believe quality products and services are only possible with a quality management system that is properly structured and sustained. So we offer two services: Quality Management System (QMS) audits and final inspection.
What does a QMS audit assess?
At supplier sites, against our clients' expectations and standards, we assess:
- Raw material intake, storage, handling and incoming quality control
- Accept, reject and on-hold processes in storage areas, stock management and floor discipline
- In-process controls across production and the effectiveness of in-line and end-of-line quality control systems
- Use, calibration and operating standards of critical and special process equipment (snap and rivet machines, fusing presses, metal detectors and similar)
- Whether final quality control follows customer standards and international quality requirements
- Product traceability, record keeping, the reporting system and the accuracy of quality data
Final inspection
Final inspection checks finished goods before shipment against the customer's quality criteria and the AQL sampling plan. For the stages and scope, see our product inspection and supervision page.
What happens after the audit?
Findings are presented to our clients in detailed reports. Where improvement is needed, corrective and preventive actions (CAP) are followed up so that quality performance keeps improving.
Quality audits: common questions
- What is the difference between a QMS audit and final inspection?
A QMS audit assesses the supplier's system for managing quality, from raw material intake to traceability. Final inspection verifies that finished goods meet the customer's criteria before they ship.
